Ideology 2005 Reserve Merlot

This hillside vineyard overlooking Hardman Lane is a few miles north of Napa and east of the Silverado Trail. Barrel aging for 30 months in French Oak helped creat this big, bold, "Right Bank" style Cab-drinkers Merlot.
After picking, The grapes were sorted and de-stemmed into a fermentation tank where they rested and soaked for 3 days. After a warm fermentation the wine was gently pressed to barrels for malolactic fermentation.
Upon entry, dense black fruits, dark chocolate and ripe strawberries consume the nose. On the palate there is black cherries, raspberry truffles and chocolate the lead into a soft elegant finish.
