The Partnership
Maple Lane is a partnership between vineyard owners Richard and Lucy Parks, and winemaker, Bradley Smith. Richard and Lucy purchased the vineyard in 2005 with a dream of making world class wine. Via a mutual friend, the Parks and Brad met and the partnership was born.

The Vineyard
The vineyard is located on Maple Lane about 5 miles south of town of Calistoga in the Napa Valley.  Incredible attention to detail in the vineyard has resulted in extremely healthy, very balanced vines that produce exceptional wine.

The Wine
The Maple Lane 2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is the second vintage released by the partnership. The blend is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petite Verdot from the Maple Lane vineyard. The final 6% of the blend is Malbec from Paoletti Vineyard in Calistoga.

Tasting Notes
This wine has a gorgeous nose of violets, berries, ripe plum, and crème brulee.  On the pallet, vibrant flavors of black cherry, raspberry and plum quickly evolve to include toasty vanilla and dark chocolate along with a touch of spice.  Overall - ripe and plush with great balance.  It has enough structure to peak around 2012.
