The 2010 Danais Napa Valley Merlot is made from Merlot grapes from some of the best vineyards in the Napa Valley. The Merlot also contains some of our estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The wine was fermented in small batches in stainless steel tanks and aged for 18 months in small oak barrels, 20% of which were new French or American oak.

Blend:
81% Merlot
17% Cabernet Sauvignon
2% Petit Verdot

Tasting Notes:
The Danais Merlot has a deep ruby and garnet hue with a seductive nose of blackberries, ripe plum, cedar, and spice. On the palate the wine is full yet refreshing with flavors of cherry and plums and a touch of vanilla and oak. The finish is soft and pleasant.
